Turkish TV series are watched by millions of people in many different parts of the world. Central Asia is also among these regions. One of the countries where Turkish TV series are watched the most in Central Asia is Kyrgyzstan. In Kyrgyzstan, where there is a large fan base, Turkish series are broadcast on many different television channels, including state television. It is possible to see Turkish TV series even during prime time, which is the most watched hour of television. After Turkish TV series gained popularity in Kyrgyzstan, it was seen that they started to be dubbed into Kyrgyz. Although Kyrgyz, a dialect of Turkish, has many similarities to Turkish, it is foreseen that there may be some between two languages, especially in idioms and formulaic expressions. Based on this, in this study, how Turkish idioms and formulaic expressions are conveyed in the TV series called Magnificent Century, Yargı, İçerde and Kuzgun, which were dubbed into Kyrgyz, was examined by descriptive content analysis. As a result of the research, it was evaluated that many idioms and formulaic expressions were used in Turkish TV series and cultural elements come to the fore in their transmission, so they can be seen as a unifying element for the Turkic world.
