Türk edebiyatının kurmaca eserlerinde yapı unsurları olarak bilinen mekân, zaman, olay örgüsü, karakterler; eserin oluşturulduğu dönemin zihniyetlerinden izler taşır. Bu zihniyetlere yön veren düşünce tarzları, yapı unsurlarının ele alınışında belirgin farklar ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu farklı ele alış biçimleri içerik ve yapı özelliklerini de etkilemiş, eserin bütününe yansıyan farklılıkları oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmanın özünü oluşturan mekân unsuru da Türk edebiyatı içinde farklı şekillerde işlenmiştir. Türk edebiyatının dönemlerine hâkim anlayışlar, fikir akımları, ideolojiler bir yapı olarak mekânın eserler içinde ele alınışını etkilemiştir. Bu fikir hareketlerinden Türkçülük ve Turancılık fikri eserlerde mekâna farklı bir yapı kazandırmıştır. Türkçülük, Turancılık fikrini bir tez olarak işleyen ve Türk edebiyatı içinde muhtevasıyla farklı bir yapıya sahip Gönül Hanım romanında da bu fikir hareketleri mekânın ele alınışını etkilemiş, Türk romanında mekân, Türkiye sınırlarını aşarak Orta Asya coğrafyasına ulaşmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı fikir hareketlerinin mekân üzerindeki etkisini göstermek, bu doğrultuda Türkçülük, Turancılık fikrinin Gönül Hanım romanında mekâna yansıyan etkilerini göstermektir.

Place, time, plot, characters, which are known as structural elements in fictional works of Turkish literature, bear traces of the mentalities of the period in which the work was created. The modes of thought that shape these mentalities have led to significant differences in the handling of structural elements. These different ways of handling them have also affected the content and structure features, and created differences reflected in the whole work. The element of place, which constitutes the core of this study, has also been handled in different ways in Turkish literature. Understandings, movements of ideas and ideologies that dominated the periods of Turkish literature affected the treatment of place as a structure in the works. The idea of Turkism and Turanism, which is one of these idea movements, gave a different structure to the place in the works. In the novel Gönül Hanım, which deals with the idea of Turkism and Turanism as a thesis and has a different structure with its content in Turkish literature, these movements of ideas have affected the handling of space, and the place in the Turkish novel has reached the geography of Central Asia beyond the borders of Turkey. The aim of this study is to show the effects of intellectual movements on the place, and in this direction, to show the effects of the idea of Turkism and Turanism reflected on the place in the novel Gönül Hanım.
