Abstract

Yeni Uygur Türkçesinde Bağdaşıklık Ögeleri: Süt Reñlik Köñlek “Beyaz Elbise” Örneği

Cohesion is an element that regulates the meaning relationships in a text and keeps the parts of the text together. It provides the relationship between elements by linking the interpretation of one element to another. By having a relationship between linguistic units and establishing semantic connections, the text can be perceived as a whole. In this study, the elements of cohesion in Casaret Cappar’s story named Süt Reñlik Köñlek “White Dress” are emphasized. Although cohesion has been discussed in linguistic studies, the fact that it has not been examined in New Uyghur Turkish until now has led us to this study. In our study, coherence items were divided into two main headings, primarily referential coherence items and formal-lexical coherence items, while referential coherence items were divided into subheadings as premise-independent coherence items and successor-dependent coherence items. Personal pronouns, reflexive pronouns, demonstrative adjectives, demonstrative pronouns premise-independent cohesion elements; indicative suffixes, possessive suffixes, person suffixes, subordinate cohesion elements; connecting prepositions, substitution (birsi, şunda?/unda?), lexical coherence, ellipsis (predicate ellipsis, subject ellipsis, object ellipsis, indirect object ellipsis, adverb ellipsis, determinant ellipsis), tense-aspect-mode were examined under the elements of formal-lexical coherence.
