It is known that the Turkish language has a rich structure with many meanings since the first texts that have survived to the present day. The geography, social life and culture where the Turkish language exists prove this richness. Over time, foreign words from different cultures have entered our language and Turkish words have taken their place in other languages. Issues such as the exchange of linguistic expressions and the change in the meaning of words over time are evaluated in semantics. Semantics also deals with this diversity in the language, words with different spellings but the same meanings under the title of synonymy. In this study, synonyms with nouns were identified in Kısasü’l-Enbiya, one of the source works of the Khwarezm Turkish Period. In the study, synonyms in the work are analyzed in terms of origin and structure. In order to emphasize the meanings of synonyms in sentences, the words were witnessed with their contexts and their occurrences were given. The analyzed words were classified under appropriate headings according to their meaning relations. In the conclusion section, statistical data on how often synonyms are used in the work are given. Determinations were made about word structure and origin. By analyzing the synonyms in the work, it is aimed to reveal the vocabulary related to the religious, social and cultural structure of the period.
