Cinema sometimes appears as an art that also serves the writers' own ideologies. Writers have exhibited their worldview, aesthetic feelings and artistic interpretations in many genres. This situation has come to the fore more in some writers. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, one of the most frequently mentioned names in the world of literature and ideas in Turkey, is one of the leading writers. Kısakürek wrote screenplays and novels during the years when Turkish cinema appealed to almost every segment of the society, thus showing the courage to expose the values he believed in to the society. We can easily state that Kısakürek, who has produced works in many genres of literature, has also engaged in serious production activities regarding the art of cinema. The author, whose numerous screenplays and novels have been adapted into films, has not refrained from expressing his belief in the world through the voices of his characters. Although we cannot claim that his other works are as qualified as they appear at first glance in terms of fiction, the author has partially succeeded in exhibiting a literary and aesthetic stance in his screenplays-novels. Kısakürek's theoretical thoughts on cinema and his practical works sometimes contain serious contradictions with each other. The author has personally applied many elements in his own productions, which he has subjected to strict criticism in his works of thought, and in this res-pect he has not been able to prevent the emergence of an inconsistency. As in many of Kısakürek's literary works, some autobiographical traces can easily be seen in his screenplay-novels. In his screenplays and novels, he imposes certain behaviors that he so-metimes regrets and considers as sins in his personal life, on his characters. In almost all of the author's ten works; It is seen that one or more of the sins of adultery, gambling and alco-hol/marijuana are committed together, and sometimes they are placed at the center and posi-tioned as the guide of events. The fact that the number of characters who feel remorse for these sins is quite low can be described as a flaw that overshadows the author's concern for giving a message in his screenplays and novels. As a method in our study, we used the general literature review method.
