While environmental problems are the subject of research in ecology, they have gained an interdisciplinary characteristic as they have become a threat to the future of the world. Environmentalist literary criticism, which began to be seen in the works of Western writers from the 1990s onwards, became the focus of attention of Turkish writers much later. In addition to examining how nature is reflected in literary works, this theory is an approach that shapes people's relations with nature, emphasizing that humans are a part of the ecosystem and that all living things are equal. In a process where global problems are becoming more and more serious day by day, our writers have also realized that our responsibilities towards the environment are an important situation that should be instilled from an early age and have entered their works as a subject. Sinan Yaşar is one of our environmentally sensitive writers. Sinan Yaşar, one of the relatively new names in children's literature, managed to attract the attention of children in a short time, and effectively addressed environmental awareness and respect for nature, which constitute an important step of "Values Education", in his works. In this study, after introducing the environmental criticism movement, the problems of climate change, global warming, famine, and forced migration due to drought are evaluated based on the author's Küçük Toplayıcının Büyük Macerası/Yolculuğu. With this study, it was seen that children's literature products also try to provide children with ecological awareness, and it was aimed to set an example for the application of environmentalist criticism to works in the field of children's literature.
