Abstract


Abdî’nin Câmasbnâmesi’nin Tunus Nüshası

One of the important examples of Turkish literature masnavi genre is Câmasbnâmes. The works were first brought to our literature by Ahmed-i Dâî and then by Abdi through translation. It is of great importance to introduce these works and their copies, which have a great value in terms of the history of Turkish language and literature, to the public. The copies of Abdî’s work, which is accepted as one of the most important Câmasbnâme translations, in libraries different geographies of the world as is stud many master’s and doctoral theses, academic and current articles, books, etc. types of publications. One of the copies of Jamasbname belonging to ‘Abdi is registered in the Tunisian National Library (Mektebü’l-Watânî) number 09437. The subject of this study is the information and findings related to this copy. Based on the document analysis method in our qualitative research, the Tunisian copy was examined in terms of form and content. In order to better understand the situation of the Tunisian copy, Italy Vatican Turco, which has the same features in terms of font, page size and number of lines, and Paris Biblioteque Nationale Supplement Turc, which is considered one of the best copies of the work. Comparisons were made from the copy numbered 1363, and determination was made. The Tunisian copy, which shows great similarities with the other copies, also has differences in terms of form, content and spelling. Findings regarding the Tunisian copy are included in the text. Our aim is to present the copy to the attention of the scholarly world with its unique features such as similarities, differences, place and date of composition.
