Abstract


Nevî-zâde Atâyî’nin Sâkî-nâme’sinde Dış Mekân Eğlence Yeri Olarak Boğaziçi

Sâkî-nâme is one of the verse types frequently used in Turkish literature starting from the 14th century. In these works, which take the subject of sign assemblies, the reader is reminded of the transience of the world and given advice. Nev‘î-zâde Atâyî is one of the poets who wrote sâkî-nâme in the 17th century classical Turkish literature. Also known as Âlem-nümâ, Nevîzâde Atâyî's Sâkî-nâme is a masnavi of 1590 couplets. Completed in 1617 and II. 527-757 of the work he presented to Osman. Among his couplets, the poet describes the neighborhoods and districts in the Bosphorus, especially the Anatolian and Rumeli Fortress, with their characteristics. These places are also places where outdoor entertainments are organized and people go to get away from the troubles of daily life due to the fact that they are far from Istanbul during the poet's time. The poet describes the natural beauties of these settlements in detail. In addition, it also tells about the people who come here to have fun and the characteristics of the entertainment assemblies. In this study, Nev‘î-zâde Atâyî and his works will be briefly introduced, after an introduction in which brief information about the characteristics of sâkî-nâmes is given, then information will be given about outdoor entertainment and its types. The material determined from Atâyî's work will be classified under the titles of entertainment types and venues and will be tried to be examined.
