Nature is an important source of metaphorical and allegorical descriptions. Rose; It means "flower" in Persian. In Turkish, it is the name given to a special kind of flower. It is known by everyone how important the rose, which is an element of nature, has in the Ottoman culture and civilization. While poets reflect their emotional world to poetry, they have benefited greatly from nature. It is noteworthy that the poets of the fifteenth century used the rose motif widely while presenting their poems. The poets used the rose as an element of simile and they tried to reflect every aspect of the rose in their poems. The first bud form of the rose, its thorns, its leaves, its gentle swing in the wind, and the rose gardens are frequently used in their couplets. Divan poets mostly talked about the red rose. Especially when describing the lover, they often used the red rose metaphor. The poets have made various comparisons between the rose and the lover, and they have found the lover superior. In this article, the use of rose motif in Avnî's divan is discussed. The couplets in Avnî's divan were scanned and the couplets in which the rose was the subject were emphasized. It has been seen that Avnî mostly uses the rose as an element of simile to describe the characteristics of his beloved.
